Fodor's Review:

Housed in the former hospital of Baldassare Longhena's Scuola di San Nicola dei Greci, this rich post-Byzantine collection is one of a kind in Europe. Though at first glance the icons may seem identical in color and style, careful inspection reveals a variety of subjects. Elegantly gilded Madonnas date back to the 14th century. Several Last Judgment scenes elaborately detail the poor sinners' fates. Other Biblical scenes include Theodore Poulakis's whimsical 17th-century depiction of Noah's shipmates arriving for their cruise.
