Bars, San Marco
Fodor's Review:
No Venice watering hole is more famous for a nightcap or an aperitif than Harry's Bar, once a favorite haunt of Ernest Hemingway. With a loan from an American named Harry Pickering in the 1930s, Giuseppe Cipriani turned an old rope factory into a cozy, wood-paneled bar, and today, his son Arrigo runs the place. If you'd like to follow in Hemingway's footsteps, ante up for a Bellini, the trademark blend of white peach juice and sparkling prosecco -- it's a treat you shouldn't miss during summer peach season, even though you will pay for the privilege.
