Here's a breath of fresh air: a Venetian hotel with no brocades and chandeliers to be found. Instead there's a tasteful mix of modern design and well-chosen antique pieces. The entrance hall has marble floors and an interesting play of colors and lights; the rooms contain original art deco pieces from the 1930s and '40s (every bed is different). The wine bar La Rivista serves light meals all day, and upstairs are a Turkish bath and a wooden rooftop terrace where you can take the sun.

Can't imagine doing any better. The location is ideal, quiet area just steps from the Acadamia bridge and a short walk to anything. Great staff and helpful. Breakfast was alright, rooms were very modern and the air cond work well, you need it from June on!
