Fodor's Review:

Finding a restaurant in Castello Basso can be difficult; this neighborhood trattoria is the only fairly priced place near San Pietro di Castello. The red, hand-painted sign above the window reflects the homey interior and also the cheerfulness of service: tosi refers to the "young lads" on the waitstaff, as opposed to the grumpy, aging career waiters you might encounter elsewhere. The lunch menu offers the usual array of Venetian primi at lower-than-usual prices. Monday through Thursday, only pizza is served in the evening; on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights the daily lunch restaurant menu is available as well.

Great Place

Enjoyed these folks and their food a LOT! 50 Euros for a very good meal for two with wine and fluent English spoken by the lady chef who is from the Channel Isles originally. Her son is a waiter and a very good atmosphere all round - we shall go back. Rather busy on Saturday night - go early to save delays - opens at 7.30 pm.
