Ae Oche

¢-$, Italian , Pizza, Santa Croce

User Rating: ***** 4.6

Fodor's Review:

There's nothing Venetian about this saloonlike pizzeria with shelves of imported stouts and Americana signage on the walls. Seventy-nine pizza combinations include the Campagnola, lavishly topped with a mix of tomato, mozzarella, mushroom, Brie, and speck (smoked prosciutto). Purists can stick to the margherita, with tomato, mozzarella, and basil. A selection of 16 salads plus a few pasta dishes make the Oche an ideal stop for a light meal between sights.

Late Dinner? No problem!

Posted by Will from Williamsburg, VA on 3/27/06

Strolling along the Zatere after 11pm w/o having had dinner & then discovered the flashy Ae Oche sign, remembering the Fodor's review. Students definitely run the place here (music louder than in other places & big groups of young people ) which makes for a casual atmosphere, perect for the end of the day. Service was also good (although when ordering a Corona I was misunderstood to have said Coca Cola, be sure to speak up).. The pizza w. ruccula/prosciutto was of high quality (crispy, spicy, filling) & well priced at 6 Euros. Will come back here..
