Close to the Campo Santa Maria Formosa and just a few minutes from San Marco, this hotel is one of the best bargains in the district. Rooms, three of which have canal views (two others look onto a small courtyard), are spotless and have a predominantly antique tone.

Best value for money ever!

Beautiful hotel five minutes walk from Piazza San Marco. Delicious breakfast and family-type friendly service. Could not ask for more! Tastefully decorated and very, very tranquil - a place to relax. My wife and I booked last second (by cellphone after arriving in Venice) and we were greeted like long-time friends. A place we will certainly return to as often as we can.

A Very Nice Hotel and Good Value for Money

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Casa Verardo. I stayed in two different rooms and they were both very pleasant if a little stuffy (you will need to leave the air conditioning on whilst you are out.) The staff were very friendly and efficient and speak immaculate English. The rooms were very clean and wholly acceptable although not quite spotless. The location is idyllic and very convenient to the Piazza San Marco (about 3-4 mins walk). Breakfast of fresh pastries, cereals, yoghurts or fruit salad was very good. On reflection, this hotel seems quite good value for money at a little over Euro 100 per person sharing per night with breakfast in mid-September 2006. I would gladly stay there again.
