In the 19th century, princes, dukes, and countesses dined here, and you'll feel like one when you walk into the gilded salons of Venice's most beautiful restaurant. The decor is stunning -- Quadri's second-floor aerie gives you a pigeon's-eye view of Piazza San Marco -- and the cuisine is classic Venetian, with lots of fish. (Truffles are a major draw in the fall.) Come September, when the Biennale is in session, the sequins-and-sunglasses set takes over.
