Cipriani

Fodor's Review:

It's impossible to feel stressed in this oasis of stunning rooms and suites, some with garden patios. The hotel launch whisks you to Giudecca from San Marco and back at any hour; those dining at the exceptional Ristorante Harry Cipriani can use it as well. For rooms, the restored 17th-century-style Palazzo Vendramin is the premium choice, with views across to Piazza San Marco, but the main hotel and Palazzetto, a modern annex facing the Canale della Giudecca, also offer extraordinary luxury. Prices are sky-high even by Venetian standards, but this is the only place in town with such extensive facilities and services, from an Olympic-size pool and tennis courts to cooking courses, fitness programs, and even a vineyard.
