The lovely (and bilingual) Odette Zora presides over this Old Venetian restaurant steps away from La Fenice. Though the velvet-laden interior may feel somewhat dated, the menu is up-to-the-minute. The carpaccio di branzino di mare (thinly sliced raw sea bass) benefits from the judicious addition of ginger and, yes, wasabi. Avocado and asparagus adorn the insalata di granchio (crab salad). The wine list, particularly strong on wines from the Veneto, is well thought out. When it's warm, you can dine alfresco.
