Arco di Druso

  • Address: Piazza del Mercato, Spoleto

Fodor's Review:

Built in AD 23 by the Senate of Spoleto to honor the Roman general Drusus (circa 13 [bcad] 23), son of the emperor Tiberius, this arch once marked the entrance to the Foro Romano (Roman Forum). Excavations to the side reveal the original street level.
