The dining room of the hotel of the same name is a peaceful, elegant spot. In winter you dine inside under medieval vaults; in summer, in the cool courtyard. The food is simple but reliable, and flawlessly served. The restaurant caters to travelers seeking to get away from the bustle of central Perugia.

I've been eating in this restaurant for close to 10 years, most recently 3 times in October of 2001. The food is reliable, fairly simple in preparation, and uses good ingredients. The service is very old-fashioned with many dishes transferred by the waiter from a serving piece to your plate, wherein the waiter makes the final presentation of the food right at your table!! The wine list is good and the prices of wine and food are very cheap for what
you get. This is a holdout in a dying breed of very old fashioned, typical, restaurants in Europe, which nonetheless are NOT stuffy or pretentious in any way. I will return here and you should give it a try on your visit to Perugia.
