A renovated 18th-century building in the center of town houses this pleasant hotel. Cozy guest rooms and intimate public rooms, some with timbered ceilings, have the sense of a traditional Umbrian home—albeit one with a good restaurant. The staff is glad to light the fireplace in Room 212 in advance of winter arrivals. Upper-floor rooms look over Spoleto's rooftops. The "older style" rooms, which have wood ceilings, iron beds, and nicer textiles, are more attractive. Pros: Friendly staff, good restaurant. Cons: Difficult to find a parking space, some small rooms.
