A former palace is now home an elegant hotel, where elaborate frescoes grace the ceilings of the two enormous suites and delightful breakfast room. Suites are furnished with painted antiques, while standard rooms are comfortably, though more soberly, decorated with heavy wooden furniture. Ask for a room facing away from the sometimes noisy street. The good in-house restaurant has a 200-seat garden.
