Museo Archeologico Nazionale

Fodor's Review:

The museum, next to the imposing church of San Domenico, contains an excellent collection of Etruscan artifacts from throughout the region. Perugia was a flourishing Etruscan city long before it fell under Roman domination in 310 BC. Little else remains of Perugia's mysterious ancestors, although the Arco di Augusto, in Piazza Fortebraccio, the northern entrance to the city, is of Etruscan origin.

  • Cost: EUR 4
  • Open: Mon. 2:30-7:30, Tues.-Sun. 8:30-7:30.
