Surrounded by antique furniture, paintings, and period knickknacks, you get a sense of a place more in tune with the 19th than the 21st century. This hotel doesn't pamper you with modern comforts; only three of the six rooms have private bathrooms, but all share a magnificent view over the valleys and hills to the north of the town. Don't be put off by the rather dark entrance to the building: climb the long flight of stairs that lead up to this intriguing guesthouse. Pros: Delightful old-world atmosphere, excellent central location. Cons: Few modern amenities, basic furnishings.
