Certosa di Maggiano Review

A 14th-century monastery has been converted into this upscale country hotel. Rooms have the style and comfort of an aristocratic villa, with classic prints and bold colors such as daffodil yellow. Common rooms are luxurious, with fine woods and leather upholstery. Fodors.com users describe this as "a great romantic hotel." In warm weather, breakfast is served on the patio next to the garden ablaze with flowers.

    Perfect spot for Siena

    We just returned from staying at this most wonderful spot. We were delighted when we arrived and they automotically informed us that they were moving us up to a "suite". The hotel staff is very helpful, and the grounds are beautiful. If you are looking to be in "Tuscany" yet be able to walk to a town for dinners, coffee, etc, this is the spot!

    Tuscan Must Stay!

    Great romantic little hotel outside of Siena. Worth the $!
    Dinner was fabulous with hands on service by staff and
    Chef! Make dinner reservations in advance.
    First impression when you arrive is confusing,
    you must see the grounds and Villa's common areas, such as library and billard rooms to appreciate fully.
    Feels like you are staying at some rich cousin's Villa.
