Gastronomically adventurous diners who visit this simple restaurant will find Veneto cuisine in the cucina povera (poor people's food) tradition and discover that, with talent and imagination, wonderful dishes can be created from the most humble and unusual ingredients. Start with a savory dish of pasta with rabbit tripe, or nervetti, gelatinous veal tendons in a sauce of celery root. Main courses are somewhat more conventional, such as a timbale of local anchovies with a sauce of chicory and sundried tomatoes. If all this sounds a little too unusual, there are dishes such as veal liver in a pepper sauce, or a couscous of calamari and vegetables.
