Caffè Pedrocchi

Caffè Pedrocchi Review

No visit to Padua is complete without taking time to sit in this massive café, as the French writer Stendahl did shortly after the café was established in 1831, and observe a good slice of Veneto life, especially, as he noted, the elegant ladies sipping their coffee. Built in a style reflecting the fashion set by Napoleon's expeditions in Egypt, Pedrocchi has long been central to the city's social life. Its restaurant also serves lunch (12:30 to 2:30), and is proud of its innovative menu.
