Veronese come to this restaurant on a quiet street in one of the oldest sections of town to enjoy a sumptuous meal under vine-covered balconies. The Tapparini family takes great pride in the kitchen's modern variations on traditional dishes. Risotto al Amarone is made with Verona's treasured red wine, and there's an excellent baccalà (cod). The more adventurous may want to sample the luscious wild boar confit, with a savory fruit though the service does not always merit the 10% charge automatically added to the bill.
