This is arguably Liguria's second-most-luxurious resort after the Splendido in Portofino: each room is beautifully decorated differently, all have modern amenities, and most have views of the sea. The heated seawater swimming pool, open April through October, is in a large tropical garden. On the terrace, candlelight dining and music are offered each night in warm weather. Keep your eyes open for off-season discounts. The Royal is only a few moments from the world-famous casino.
