Don't expect an extensive menu at this tiny restaurant on one of Portovenere's caruggi: the entire list practically fits onto their business card. However, the simple fare, at reasonable prices, more than makes up for the limited offerings—a good choice for a light but traditional lunch. Try the unpretentious but eminently local mes-ciùa (a soup of beans, corn, and barley) or the delicately flavored insalata di polpo (octopus salad). The wooden bench-tables can be crowded, so get here early—they don't accept reservations.
