Fodor's Review

In 1590 the princess of Sulmona, Costanza Doria del Carretto, commissioned this church not far from her palace on Pizzofalcone. In the 17th century the church was given to the Theatine order, which had it enlarged. The lively vault and dome frescoes are by Giovanni Beinaschi of Turin, better known as a painter of genre scenes, and there are some good paintings by Luca Giordano and Massimo Stanzione tucked away in the smaller side chapels and oratory.
