Al Convento Review
Occupying part of a former convent, this restaurant receives glowing reviews for its varied and tasty preparations involving anchovies. For the adventurous there's the spaghetti con colatura (a modern version of the anchovy liquid known in Roman times as garum), but there are also straightforward but excellent pizzas from the wood-fired oven. The restaurant's ambience is low-key yet ethereal, with whitewashed walls, soaring arches, and a ceiling adorned with beautiful old frescoes.
