Fodor's Review

This Anacapri icon has grown both physically and conceptually over the years, amassing a noted art collection, launching a fashion and home line (including a line of Capritouch shoes, custom made for each client), and working with some of Italy's top names on unique design touches. Of course, it would all be for naught if the hotel was lacking, but the Palace excels there, too: the service is impeccable, the experiences unique, and the results award-winning. Accommodations are individually designed; some pay tribute to fashion inspirations, from Monroe and Callas to recent guest Paltrow, others honor famous artists, and still others may have private pools or gardens. All feature free Wi-Fi, Samsung tablets, satellite TV, and views of the bay or mountains. The on-site Capri Beauty Farm medi-spa is overseen by a doctor and offers both one-off treatments and intensive, multiday programs targeting wellness, diet, posture, leg health, and more. Along with a hopping bar and a casual bistro, the dining options include the two-Michelin-star L'Olivo, and—at the chic Beach Club—the one-Michelin-star Il Riccio, overlooking the sea.
