Fodor's Review

This luxurious retreat, magnificently set on a bluff high over the Bay of Naples, is one of Italy's most legendary hotels. A recent refurbishment has injected new energy to the property, along with streamlined, Art Deco touches. Avant-garde artworks, trompe l'oeil frescoes, and plate-glass coffee tables now adorn the lounges and salons, and guest rooms range from sleekly modern to sumptuously fanciful. The main restaurant, Mimmo Iodice, has panoramic vistas over the bay and a truly tempting menu, or you can enjoy elegant meals under the cliff-top wisteria pergola.

Simply one of the most beautiful places in the world

This hotel is magical. My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon, and one of my favorite memories is the moment when our driver pulled up to the Bellevue Syrene. Photos really can't do it justice. Our room was somewhat small, but clean and very comfortable. The best part was our private balcony, overlooking the sea and Mt. Vesuvius in the background. The location is convenient, and you can walk to all of the downtown restaurants.

Even now, looking at our vacation photos from the Bellevue Syrene put me in an instantly good mood -- it is that wonderful of a place!

The Best!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days in July. A truly lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly and professional. The views are incredible. I think there is a wedding at the hotel every night, so we enjoyed listening to the music from them as we sat out on our balcony. I highly recommend this hotel!
