Amalfi Coast Travel Guide

Bus Travel

Most travelers tour the Amalfi Drive by bus. SITA Sud (Sicurezza Trasporti Autolinee South) buses make the trip many times daily between 6 am and 10 pm (less often on Sunday, bank holidays, and major festival days). The bus from Sorrento to Amalfi stops at Positano (at Chiesa Nuova and Sponda), Praiano, and Conca dei Marini along the way. SITA bus drivers will stop anywhere on the main route as long as you state your destination when boarding. Tickets are called Unico Costiera, and cost from €2.50 for 45 minutes to €18 for three days. They must be purchased in advance and inserted in the time-stamp machine when you enter the bus. Ticket vendors can be found in cafés, bars, and newsstands.
