Museo delle Marionette

Museo delle Marionette Review

The traditional Sicilian pupi (puppets), with their glittering armor and fierce expressions, have become a symbol of Norman Sicily. Plots of the weekly performances center on the chivalric legends of the troubadours, who, before the puppet theater, kept alive tales of Norman heroes in Sicily such as William the Bad (1120-66). The museum can be hard to find: look for the small alley just off Piazetta Antonio Pasqualino 5.
