Il Raya Review

Discreet, expensive, looking out over the sea toward Stromboli, Il Raya is perfectly in keeping with the elite style of Panarea, most exclusive of the Aeolian Islands. Public areas, including a broad terrace and an open-air restaurant, are built into a hillside right on the port. Guest rooms occupy separate areas, some a short walk from the main building, though all the rooms still enjoy the serene sea view from their balconies. Elegant and understated, most rooms have Moorish-type hangings and low divans helping to create a calm and luxurious tone. Families with young children are asked to book elsewhere.
