Torre di Federico II
Torre di Federico II Review
This mysterious octagonal tower—of unknown purpose—stands above the lower part of town. It has been celebrated for millennia as marking the exact geometric center of the island—thus the tower's, and city's, nickname, Umbilicus Siciliae (Navel of Sicily). The interior is not open to the public, but the surrounding park is.
