Fodor's Review

A remote oasis on the island's Green Coast, this luxury hotel was originally built in the late 1800s as a w warehouse for minerals dug out from surrounding hills. The remains of wagons, rails, and other mining mementos are still visible and scattered about, which adds to the desolate allure. It's in the commune of Arbus in the Medio Campidano province, on the southwestern Sardinian coast between Capo Pecora and Capo Frasca. Bamboo furnishings and neutral linens give the

simple guest rooms a light, spacious feel. Eleven rooms have their own sitting areas. Relax with an afternoon drink in the well-stocked American Bar & Lounge, where you can contemplate the limitless sands stretching out on either side. Guided tours are available. Half-board is required, and there's a three-night minimum stay from May 25 through August 24.
