English-Language Media

Books

English-language books are expensive in Rome; most are imported from England, so prices in Rome reflect the strong pound and shipping costs. The Anglo-American Bookstore has the widest selection of genres. The English Bookshop has a smaller selection but better prices. Trastevere's Almost Corner Bookstore carries lots of offbeat new fiction and has a vast history section. For used books at lower prices, try the Open Door. At Feltrinelli International you can pick up novels and guidebooks in English as well.
