Fodor's Review

Italy's original silver screen dreams started in Cinecittà. The historic 1960s studio has hosted a constellation of stars like Marcello Mastroanni, Elizabeth Taylor, Daniel Day Lewis, Leonardo di Caprio, GianCarlo Gianni, and directors Bernardo Bertolucci, Federico Fellini, Martin Scorsese, and Woody Allen. With ongoing productions, Cinecittà also offers organized tours to visitors who wish to walk through sets like a pre-skyscraper New York, an authentic Roman Forum, the Sistine Chapel, or medieval Florence, as well as see its historic costumes.
