Rome Restaurants

Pierluigi Review

This perennial seafood favorite is quite the scene on balmy summer evenings, and interior renovations have made Pierluigi a year-round dining destination. As at many Italian fish ristoranti, antipasti featuring crudi (raw fish selections) are smart choices here: delicious tartare, carpaccio, shrimp, clams, and oysters are all in abundance. So are pastas and risotto with seafood, and mains like roasted turbot with potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and black olives are delicious. Traditional Roman meat dishes are also on offer for the landlubbers among the group. No matter your preference, ask for a nice sgroppino (lemon sorbet, vodka, and prosecco) to end the meal.
