Relais Le Clarisse Review
In one of Rome's most popular neighborhoods, this charming little oasis features five simple, but classically styled accommodations (two doubles and three suites) with terra-cotta-tiled floors, wrought-iron bed frames, and oak furnishings. Each room opens up onto a bright courtyard surrounded by a Mediterranean garden of grapevines and olive and lemon trees. Though Le Clarisse is set on the former cloister grounds of the Santa Chiara order, its rooms are equipped with the most modern technologies, including individual climate control, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi, as well as Jacuzzi showers and tubs. Travelers feel more like personal guests at a friend's villa rather than at a hotel, thanks to the comfortable size of the accommodations and the personal touches and service extended by the staff. Le Clarisse is also located across the street from the Alcazar movie theater, which shows original language films (as opposed to versions that have been dubbed into Italian) on Monday nights.
