Fodor's Review:
The eerie 16th-century Parco dei Mostri (Monster Park) is populated by weird and fantastic sculptures of mythical creatures and fantastic monsters. The story goes that the eccentric Prince Vicino Orsini created this strange park in 1552 for the amusement of a mysterious lady he was in love with. The overgrown state of the garden adds to the wild effect, with a stone elephant peeping out of a tangle of creepers, an enormous turtle with a moss-covered shell, and a gigantic ogre whose gaping mouth leads into a dark cave. Harry Potter might even feel at home. Children love it, and there are photo ops galore.
