$$, Trastevere
Fodor's Review:
Atop Janiculum Hill, one of the famed seven hills of Rome, the Grand Hotel feels removed from the urban chaos. It's a bargain, with many of the trappings standard at higher prices: beautifully manicured gardens, a pool, a rooftop terrace, conference rooms, and a clubby bar. Comfortable guest rooms have patterned wallpaper and draperies. The viewing point on the drive up has breathtaking, encompassing views of the Eternal City.
