Carmel Review

In the heart of Trastevere and across the Tiber from the main synagogue is Rome's only kosher hotel, a friendly and budget-friendly place to stay. The staff is eager to please, and there are two kitchens that guests can use in order to help them keep kosher during their vacation (alternatively, prepared kosher meals can also be arranged). Rooms are basic, and not all have private baths, so be sure to inquire when booking. Breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the terrace. A kosher breakfast can also be arranged for €5 extra per person per day.

think twice before you book here...better accommodations elsewhere

no refund policy - beware rooms are tiny, dirty and uninviting...added plus of no hot water if you are lucky!!

    nice trip!

we stayed at Hotel Carmel 3 weeks ago. The staff was very friendly, room small but clean and confortable. Perfectly located. The terrace available for all guests is fantastic I think especially in spring and summer. We recommend Hotel Carmel!!!!!!
