Arenula Review

A hefty bargain by Rome standards, with an almost unbeatable location (in the Ghetto just across the river from Trastevere), the Arenula has an imposingly elegant stone exterior, and simple but comfortable rooms. Standing on an age-worn byway off central Via Arenula, the hotel welcomes you with a luminous and cheerful all-white interior and pale-wood furnishings. The graceful oval staircase of white marble and wrought iron in the lobby is lovely, but guests with rooms on the fourth floor had better be in good shape!

    Arenula Review

I require a hotel with a round-the-clock staff. My room was a small but adequate single, small, clean bathroom and a good, full breakfast included. One man on the desk was rude, but the woman who worked half the day was extremely courteous and helpful. No elevator, but a great location. In all, a mixed bag, but I would stay there again for the low rate and being able to walk everywhere.
