Castles / Palaces, Via Veneto
Fodor's Review:
Built in 1890 as the residence of Italy's Queen Margherita, the white building is now the U.S. Embassy. American citizens on routine business (including replacing lost passports) are directed to the consulate building next door. The embassy and consulate are part of a heavily guarded complex that includes U.S. Information Service offices and the American Library.
