Fodor's Review

The setting: a pair of enclosed piazzas, ivy-covered walls, nestled by the Roman Forum and Campidoglio. The specialty: refined Roman cuisine, including Roman Jewish fare and specializing in seafood. In spring and summer there's a lovely outdoor dining deck, and in cooler months, the bright rooms decorated with contemporary art offer pleasant surroundings. The menu includes classic fried artichokes (among the city's best), ravioli con cipolla di Tropea (filled with

red onion and tossed in balsamic vinegar), and favorite local fish turbot, adorned with perfectly roasted potatoes. Everything down to the last bite (make your dessert choice the chocolate medley) is a pleasure, even if it doesn't come cheaply. An adjacent café is open at breakfast and lunch.

Very Dissapointing

I thought the food was okay but the prices were outrageous. For two couples it was slightly over €200 per couple. Two people had the fish degustazioni while the other two had a primi and a secondi. Apart from the general prices, the element that really shocked me was the service charge: €4 per person coperta plus 15% service charge. In all my time in Italy I have never seen both of them charged together.
