Fodor's Review

The setting: a pair of enclosed piazzas, ivy-covered walls, nestled by the Roman Forum and Campidoglio. The specialty: refined Roman cuisine, including Roman Jewish fare and specializing in seafood. In spring and summer there's a lovely outdoor dining deck, and in cooler months, the bright rooms decorated with contemporary art offer pleasant surroundings. The menu includes classic fried artichokes (among the city's best), ravioli con cipolla di Tropea (filled with red onion and tossed in balsamic vinegar), and favorite local fish turbot, adorned with perfectly roasted potatoes. Everything down to the last bite (make your dessert choice the chocolate medley) is a pleasure, even if it doesn't come cheaply. An adjacent café is open at breakfast and lunch.
