Perched on a terrace overlooking the famous Sassi canyon, you can sit outside in summer enjoying the unique view. The restaurant proper is in a cavern carved out of the cliff side. Ask to see the spectacular three-level wine cellar. The menu is strictly Basilicata, with specialities like Foglie di ulivo (olive leaves with various fillings), wonderful fresh ricotta, grano e ceci (cheese and chickpea soup), and pignata (lamb stew with potatoes, onions,
tomatoes, and other seasonal vegetables). The restaurant also serves pizzas in the evenings.
