Museo Storico Carlo Levi

Museo Storico Carlo Levi Review

This is the house where Carlo Levi, the author of Christ Stopped at Eboli, lived while in Aliano (he'd been exiled here in the mid-1930s for his anti-Fascist views). Now a museum, it displays some personal artifacts as well as other articles of local interest. If you've read the book, the drive up to Aliano and the views down dramatic eroded gulleys hundreds of feet deep will feel very familiar. Tours leave from the information office in Piazza Garibaldi.
