Buried in the side streets of the old town, this laid-back restaurant occupies an actual cave, where ancient rough-hewn stone walls contrast with the elegant table settings and a second room has a plethora of intriguing objects adorning the white walls. Service is friendly, and dishes focus on local cuisine such as delectable eggplant Parmesan, homemade orecchiette con cime di rapa (with bitter greens and fried breadcrumbs) and baked sea bass with clams, squid, and tomatoes. Unadventurous diners may want to learn the Italian for donkey meat, but won't be short on alternative choices.
