Matterhorn

Fodor's Review:

Splendid views of the Matterhorn (Monte Cervino in Italian; Mont Cervin in French) can be seen from Plateau Rosa and the Cresta del Furggen, both of which can be reached by cable car from the center of Breuil-Cervinia. Although many locals complain that the tourist facilities and condominiums have changed the face of their beloved village, most would agree that the cable car has given them access to climbing and off-trail skiing in ridges that were once inaccessible.
