Fodor's Review:

The 18-minute ride from Sassi up the Superga hill is an absolute treat on a clear day. The view of the Alps is magnificent at the hilltop Parco Naturale Collina Torinese, a tranquil retreat from the bustle of the city. If you feel like a little exercise, you can walk back down to Sassi (about 2 hours) on one of the well-marked wooded trails that start from the upper station. Other circular trails lead through the park and back to Superga, where mountain bikes are also available for rent.

  • Cost: Weekdays EUR 2 one-way, weekends EUR 3.50 one-way
  • Open: Hourly service Mon. and Wed.-Fri. 9-noon and 2-5, hourly service weekends 9-8; bus service replaces the train on Tues.
