Immortalized in the classic song Funiculì Funiculà, funicolari (cable cars) are still the best way to get up and down Naples's many steep hills. The Funicolare Centrale from its Via Toledo station links the city center with the Piazza Fuga station atop the Vomero hill. The Funicolare di Chiaia links Via del Parco Margherita to the Via Domenico Cimarosa station on the Vomero Hill. The Funicolare di Montesanto travels from Piazza Montesanto to the station at Via Morghen. In addition, the Funicolare di Mergellina links the waterfront at Via Mergellina with Via Manzoni. Funicolare and tram tickets are included on the popular Giranapoli pass. A pass costs EUR 1 and is valid for 90 minutes on all public transit within the city boundaries; EUR 3 buys a biglietto giornaliero (ticket for the whole day). The Chiaia and Centrale funiculars usually run from 7 AM to 1 AM with departures every 10-15 minutes, while the others close at 10 PM.
