MGallery Palazzo Caracciolo Review
Built in the 1200s, this one-time home of Murat, King of Naples offers royal treatment within walking distance of the train station and centro storico. Fronted by an impressive porticoed cloister, the hotel has the MGallery brand's contemporary style. Rooms, of course, are fit for a king—though not all are large—with large sumptuous beds and elegant flowing drapes (ask for the suite with the high coffered ceiling). The Cucina restaurant's 'O Brunch is a Neapolitan variation on this midday meal; you can take tea in the historic Angevin salon; and breakfast is a banquet unrivalled in any of the city's other hotels.
