Grand Hotel La Favorita Review

Sorrento is rightly known for gorgeous and sumptuous hotels, but the traditional choices have had to make room for this glamorous newcomer—a striking beauty that can hold its own against some great hotel names. The lobby is a white-on-white extravaganza of Caprese columns, tufted sofas, shimmering crystal chandeliers, ecclesiastical silver, and gilded baroque mirrors. Happily, the vibe is elegantly casual, the staff is charming and helpful, and the guest rooms well-equipped and spacious. The garden is also a delight—hardly surprising when the owner is Enzo Manniello, of Sorrento's famous garden-restaurant Parrucchiano. Head for the rooftop pool area to see the bay and Vesuvius spread out before you.
