Inside the Galleria Umberto is this charming boutique hotel, one of the most recent additions to the lodging scene. Each room is named for an artist, and reproductions of that artist's work adorn the walls inside. Rooms are immaculately kept and comfortably plush. Book early, as this hotel has become a popular retreat for musicians and performers from the nearby opera house. Pros: Central location, appetizers served every evening. Cons: Hard to find, rooms with balconies reserved for smokers.
