Albergo Il Monastero Review

Within the Castello Aragonese at Ischia Ponte, with rustic rooms that peer down into the Mediterranean hundreds of feet below, this is the ultimate in ambience combined with the peace and quiet of a traffic-free area. Guest rooms are on the simple side, but the management is friendly and tries to warm things up. You can also choose to dine here (guests only) on the spectacular terrace, if you can't face the climb down to the town; there is no printed menu but the resident chef specializes in the island cuisine and, if you're lucky, you might be in for real treats like Ischian rabbit. This is a highly popular hotel, so book way in advance.
